After work, Celia walked to the public gardens with her sketchbook. She wanted to draw the evening sky above the glass house. A sign at the entrance said the gates closed at six, but sunset was later that evening.
Celia sat near the pond and began drawing. She worked carefully on the glass house and forgot to check her watch. At a quarter to six, a gardener came along the path. He reminded the few remaining visitors about closing time.
Celia still needed to add the sky. She asked if there was another exit she could use later. The gardener explained that all the gates closed together. However, the glass house was visible from the public pavement outside the gardens.
She packed her pencils and left before six. Outside, she found a safe place to stand away from the gate. Her picture now had two different views, but she liked the result. She added the changing colours of the sky while people walked home behind her.
