At a small delivery office, Emil stamped each completed form before putting it in a folder. On Monday morning, the first stamp left almost no mark. He pressed harder, but the letters were still too pale to read clearly.
His colleague Salma checked the stamp pad. It was dry, and the new bottle of ink had not arrived. Emil worried because a driver was waiting for ten completed forms. He did not want to use the wrong ink and damage the office stamp.
Salma called their supervisor. She explained that they could write the completion date and sign each form until the correct ink arrived. Emil added a short note to the folder so the next worker would understand why the forms looked different.
The driver left with all ten forms a few minutes later. In the afternoon, the ink delivery arrived. Emil followed the instructions on the bottle and tested the stamp on scrap paper. The date printed clearly again, without any extra pressure.
