The people in Rosa's office met every morning to discuss their jobs. Usually, the meeting lasted twenty minutes because phones kept ringing. Someone always left the table to answer a call, and the manager had to repeat the same information.
Rosa suggested a different plan for Friday. Each person would say only what the others needed to know. One colleague would stay at the front desk and answer the phones. After the meeting, Rosa would explain the main points to that colleague.
The manager agreed to try it. On Friday, four people stood around a small table. There were no long stories about yesterday. They checked a delivery time, shared one customer question and agreed who would open the office on Monday.
The meeting finished in five minutes. Rosa took her notes to the front desk and gave Leo the news. He had answered two calls, but neither was urgent. Next Friday, Rosa would take the phones while Leo joined the meeting.
