The Decision
The next morning, Alex met Maya in the office. „I read the term sheet again,” Maya said. „There’s a line I missed. They want the right to replace us as CEO and CTO. Us.”
Alex stared at the paper. „So we’d take the money, and then we could lose the company anyway.”
Maya nodded. „The question isn’t whether we can survive. It’s whether we want to survive like that.”
They sat in silence. Then Alex spoke.
