The evening computer class often finished late. Students stayed to ask questions, and the teacher tried to answer everyone. Outside the door, the cleaner, Olga, waited with her trolley. She had three rooms to clean before the building closed.
One Tuesday, student Malcolm noticed her waiting for the third week in a row. He asked the teacher when they should leave. The timetable said eight thirty, but it was already eight forty. The teacher apologised and asked everyone to pack their bags.
Before the next lesson, she made a new plan. The final ten minutes would be for questions. Any longer problem could be discussed by email or at the start of the following class. She also checked the plan with Olga.
At eight thirty, the room was empty. Malcolm pushed his chair under the desk and picked up a piece of paper before leaving. Olga thanked him and entered with her trolley. For once, she could begin the last part of her evening on time.
