Every time Leo visited his grandmother, she asked when he would get married. Leo usually laughed and changed the subject. During his last visit, she asked the same question in front of his cousins, and he became very quiet.
After the others left, he stayed to help with the cups. He told his grandmother that the question made him uncomfortable. He did not have any wedding news, and he did not want to discuss his private life at family meals.
His grandmother looked surprised. She explained that she asked because she wanted him to be happy. Leo said he understood, but there were many other things they could talk about. He asked about the choir she had recently joined.
She immediately brought out a song sheet and described the other singers. Before he left, she invited him to their next practice. Leo accepted. On his way home, he put the date in his calendar, pleased to have a different family question to answer.
