Before her first pottery class, Cora read that everyone needed an apron. She packed one in her work bag, but took a different bag to the class. When she arrived, she was wearing a clean white shirt with nothing to protect it.
The teacher offered her an old apron from the lost property box. It had green marks and a large pocket at the front. Cora tied it carefully and joined the group around a table of wet clay. Soon, she was too busy to think about her shirt.
While cleaning up, she found a folded paper inside the apron pocket. It showed a simple bowl and the name 'George'. A man at the next table looked up. He had lost that apron during the previous course and thought it was gone forever.
Cora washed the clay from the apron and gave it back. George showed her the finished bowl from his drawing. Next week, she would bring her own apron, but she was glad the borrowed one had found its owner.
