The staff at a small office wanted a new team photo for their noticeboard. Everyone stood against a plain wall at ten o'clock. Clara set the camera on a table and pressed the timer. Just then, the doorbell rang.
It was a delivery driver with six boxes of paper. Tomas stepped out of the picture to sign for them. The camera flashed while he was still at the door. In the photo, everyone was smiling at an empty space where Tomas should be.
They tried again, but one box blocked the camera. Clara moved the boxes into the cupboard, and the others checked the wall clock. Their next meeting would begin in three minutes. There was only time for one more try.
This time, all seven colleagues appeared clearly. Clara printed the good photo for the noticeboard. She kept the first picture on her desk too. Under the empty space, she wrote, 'Tomas, working as usual.' He laughed and asked for a copy.
