A training session was due to begin at nine in the small meeting room. When Farah opened the door, she noticed a strong smell of paint. The walls looked fresh and clean, but she did not want twelve people to sit there for two hours.
She called the building manager, who explained that the room was still closed after painting. Someone had forgotten to update the booking calendar. Farah checked the other meeting room, but a different team was already using it that morning.
There was a covered table outside near the staff entrance. The weather was dry, and the lesson did not need a screen. Farah asked the trainer if they could move there. He agreed and carried the printed materials outside with her.
They put a clear sign on the meeting room door. Everyone found the new place, and the session started only five minutes late. During the break, several workers said they liked the outdoor table. Farah still booked a normal room for the next lesson.
