Nora visited a local clock museum with her father. He loved machines, but Nora thought a room full of clocks would be boring. She agreed to stay for one hour before they walked to the river for lunch together.
At the desk, a guide gave them a simple task. They had to find a clock without numbers, a clock inside a wooden bird and the smallest clock in the room. Nora started looking while her father read the long labels.
The clock without numbers was easy to find. The tiny clock was harder because it was part of a ring. Nora almost walked past it. She called her father over, and they looked closely through the glass together.
At twelve, several clocks began to ring. Nora covered her ears and laughed. Their quiet visit suddenly became very noisy. When her father asked if she was ready for lunch, she requested five more minutes. She still wanted to find the wooden bird.
