She takes a bigger pot from the cupboard. She adds another cup of rice and more water. Her father cuts two extra carrots. He also puts four plates on the table.
The kitchen smells good. When the visitors arrive, dinner is almost ready. Mara gives her brother the bread. He cuts it while everyone talks around the table.
