Marius joins the community garden near his street. His small plot is between two larger ones. He wants to grow beans, but first he needs to know where to plant them.
A garden helper shows him a packet of seeds. There are pictures on the back. They show spaces between the plants. Marius puts short sticks in the soil to mark the spaces.
He makes little holes beside the sticks and puts seeds inside. Then he covers them with soil. A red watering can stands by the shared tap. He fills it halfway.
Marius waters his small plot slowly. There are no green plants yet, only neat sticks. Before he leaves, he writes the date in his notebook. Next week he can check for changes.
