Radu's family used their group chat for everything. They shared news, pictures of meals, and jokes about their old car. Radu enjoyed the messages, but his aunt often sent twenty photographs after ten at night, when he was already asleep.
He turned off the sound, yet his phone still lit up beside his bed. On Sunday, he told the family that he would stop checking the group after nine. If something was urgent, they could call him instead of sending messages.
His aunt worried that she was no longer welcome to share pictures. Radu explained that she could still send them. He would simply look in the morning. His cousin said this plan would help her too, because she studied late.
The next morning, Radu found twelve pictures of his aunt's new curtains. He looked at them over breakfast and chose his favorite. His aunt received a happy answer, just a little later. Nobody needed to leave the family group.
