Theo planned to show his colleagues a new way to record customer orders. He arrived early and connected his laptop to the meeting room screen. The screen remained dark. His laptop was working, and the large screen was switched on, so he checked the cable.
One end was damaged. Theo had fifteen minutes before the demonstration, but the equipment shop was not open yet. He asked around the office. Most colleagues used different connections, and their cables did not fit his computer.
Finally, Eva remembered a spare cable in the training cupboard. She used it for classes on Fridays. Theo tried it, and the order form appeared on the large screen. He thanked her and wrote a reminder to return it before her next class.
The demonstration began on time. Afterwards, Theo reported the damaged cable to the office manager and placed it in the agreed box for broken equipment. He returned Eva's cable that afternoon, with its ends rolled neatly so it would be ready for Friday.
