A neighborhood café has three tables outside. The owner, Bea, wants a little plant for each table. She visits the plant stall at the Saturday market with an empty box.
The seller shows her tall flowers in small pots. They are pretty, but Bea thinks about the wind in her street. The pots can fall over on a windy day.
She chooses three short plants in wide pots instead. The seller puts them in her box with paper between them. Bea carries the box carefully back to the café.
At each table, there is room for one plant and two cups. The green leaves look bright against the white tables. Bea writes the plant names on small cards for curious customers.
