I join a beginner photography group by the park pond. Our teacher asks us to take a picture of an animal. There is a brown duck close to my feet.
I lift my camera, but the duck moves away. In my first picture, I can only see water. In the second, there is half a duck and a large shoe.
The teacher asks me to wait in one place. I sit on a bench and keep the camera ready. Soon the duck walks back toward the edge of the pond.
This time I take a clear picture. The duck is small in it, but its whole body is there. I show the group. Everyone likes the bright blue water behind it.
