The Search
They searched the whole house. They looked under the table, behind the sofa, and in the kitchen. They checked the bathroom and the garden. The ring was not there.
„When did you last see it?” Sara’s mother asked.
„At the table,” the grandmother said. „I had it during dinner.”
Sara wrote everything in a small notebook. She asked questions. She watched everyone carefully.
„Something is strange here,” she thought.
