On Friday, I knocked on her door and explained that I needed it by noon the next day. She looked inside her laundry basket and found it at the bottom. She had forgotten it because she was wearing different clothes that week.
We checked the washing instructions together. She washed it that evening and laid it flat to dry. On Saturday morning, it was still slightly wet. She apologized and offered me one of her sweaters, but I chose a shirt of my own.
My sweater came back on Sunday, clean and soft. We agreed that future loans would have a return date. A month later, she asked for it again. I said no because I needed it myself, and she simply chose something else.
