Anika wanted to take her friend Rose to a lake outside town. Rose used a wheelchair, so they looked at the park website together before choosing their route. A green line showed a smooth path from the bus stop to the water.
On arrival, they found two paths at the entrance. The shorter one crossed rough ground near some trees. The green route went around a field. Anika suggested checking the sign again instead of following the people taking the shorter way.
The longer path was wide and smooth, just as the website had described. Beside the lake, there was space for Rose next to a bench. They stopped there to watch small boats and share the fruit Anika had brought in her bag.
Before leaving, Rose noticed a low viewing window in a wooden fence. From there, both friends could see birds on a quiet part of the lake. Anika marked it on their map. They wanted to bring Rose's sister there on their next visit.
