Fran cleans the bathroom mirror with a damp cloth. It looks clear when she stands close to it. She puts the cloth away and calls the bathroom finished.
Then the afternoon sun comes through the window. Fran sees long marks across the glass. She takes the damp cloth again, but this makes new marks over the old ones.
Her brother brings a clean, dry cloth. Fran uses it on one corner first. The marks disappear. She wipes the rest of the mirror with the dry cloth.
Now she looks from the door and from beside the sink. The glass is clear from both places. Fran hangs both cloths to dry and goes downstairs for a break.
