Sofia invited five friends to make paper decorations in her kitchen. On Saturday morning, one friend called and asked if she could bring her brother Denis. He was visiting for the weekend and did not know anyone in the town.
Sofia wanted to welcome him, but her kitchen table was small. She counted the chairs and the scissors. There were enough scissors, but one chair was missing. She asked the friend to bring a folding chair along with her brother.
Denis arrived carrying the chair and a box of colored paper. He sat quietly at first because the others were talking about people he did not know. Sofia asked him to show everyone how he made his paper birds.
Soon, the whole table was covered with birds. Before leaving, Denis wrote simple instructions for the group. Sofia invited him to join them again during his next visit. He promised to bring his chair, even if they met in a larger room.
