Her brother explained that he could come, but he needed to leave by eight. Nina was pleased to know this before she planned the evening. They agreed that future invitations would include a clear request for a reply and a date.
That afternoon, Nina sent everyone a new message asking them to confirm by Friday evening. Her brother answered first. He added a question of his own: 'Should I bring bread?' Nina replied immediately, because this time the question was easy to see.
