A circular bus route connected the market, the river and several parks. Emma decided to ride the whole circle to learn the area around her new home. She bought a day ticket and sat by a window with a small notebook.
She wrote down useful stops as the bus passed them. There was a swimming pool behind the library and a walking path near the sports ground. After about forty minutes, the bus returned to the market, where her journey had started.
Emma stayed in her seat because she wanted to continue to the river. The driver turned around and explained that this bus now had a lunch break. Another bus would leave from the next bay in fifteen minutes, using the same route.
She thanked him and got off. A circular route did not mean one bus moved without stopping all day. Emma bought a bread roll from the market and waited at the correct bay. Her day ticket worked on the next bus, and she reached the river in time for lunch.
