She points to a narrow path behind some trees. It goes around the wet area. Paul thanks her and follows it. The path is dry, with small stones under his feet.
The extra walk takes only a few minutes. Paul reaches the station before his bus arrives. His shoes are still clean. Tomorrow, if it rains, he knows which path to take.
