Ravi and Kim borrow table tennis bats at the park office. They are both beginners. The outdoor table is free, so they put their bags on the bench and start.
The little white ball moves very fast. Ravi hits it too hard, and it disappears. He looks behind the bench. Kim looks in the grass, but the ball is not there.
Then Kim bends down and looks under the table. The ball sits inside a small hole in one metal leg. She can see it, but her fingers cannot reach it.
Ravi gently pushes it out with a thin stick from the ground. They clean the ball and play again. Now they stand closer to the table and use softer shots.
