Nina puts new curtains in the living room. They are soft and white. She likes the light through them, but they are too long. The ends lie on the floor.
Her partner wants to cut them. Nina is not sure. They may use the curtains in another room later. That room has a much taller window.
Nina's aunt comes to help. She folds the bottom of each curtain and sews it with long stitches. She does not cut any cloth from the curtains.
Now the curtains hang above the floor. Nina can clean under them easily. Her aunt shows her the stitches. Nina can remove them later if she needs the curtains to be long.
