The Race
The morning of the marathon was cold. Thousands of runners stood at the start. Tom’s heart was pounding. For the first ten kilometers, he felt strong. At kilometer thirty, everything hurt. He wanted to stop.
Then he saw his wife and children at the side of the road, holding a sign: „Go, Dad!”
He didn’t stop.
